Hey everyone! I've gotten a few notes from people asking for a tutorial on how to make a chase system like in Ao oni Or heta oni. So, seeing as I fixed my own way of doing it. I decided to go ahead and make this for all of you!~

This is also my first rmxp tutorial.
This system does work on Vx as well, I've tested it. And yes, this was made so anyone could understand it. But if you have questions, plz ask away. ^^

Hope you all enjoy!
You do /need/ an event or trigger to START the chase
You do need the other parts to finish this system
I didn't want the file size to be any bigger.

Hello, I'm a newbie at RPG making ((I have RPG 2000)).
Do you know how to change the screen transition? And how to make an event disappear once you've done something specific?

Sorry I do not use rpg maker 2000. I have no clue what to do in that program, sorry :/

Is there a way to avoid getting the monster stuck behind objects in its way? It looks strange (and it does kill the sense of horror) when that happens.

Use Listra Pathfinding script for RPG Maker XP or VX. If you want it to become more smarter/

Thanks, Hiroshi! Does it work on its own? Or do you have to set up the whole event, with the switch and various processes, and then use a script call to start it? O.o

It works own it's own when you set the movement to approach.

sadly for that it would need a script. It would need pathfinding.

Only way to accomplish this without a script would be a looot of variables and extra events for the monster to know its stuck.
